Manufactured from corrosion resistant polyester or phenolic Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) composites, our Bondstrand™ FRP access products can be used as individual products or together as integral solutions. Products include handrails, ladders and gates, grating and flooring, platforms, stairs and walkways, and all provide the ideal corrosion resistant solution for marine, offshore or chemical and industrial applications. Specifically designed for strength, durability and longevity, their high performance makes them ideally suited as an alternative to traditional materials and suitable for both green-field and brown-field applications.

Ladders and Gates:

  • Ideal for provision of vertical access to all types of platforms and walkways
  • Ladders include gritted rungs for maximum safety and durability offshore
  • Safety cages can be provided as required
  • Safety gates are available in half or full height, with intermediate bars to suit
  • Self-closing gates as standard, latches included where specified
  • Retro-fit designs available to replace existing steel handrails or ladders
  • Bespoke manufacture to suit client specifications

Grating and Flooring:

  • Open mesh grating or solid floor products, available in polyester or phenolic FRP
  • Pultruded gratings are much stronger than moulded FRP grating allowing them to carry higher loads with significantly less deflection, maintaining robustness and impact resistance
  • Proven over 40 years use offshore
  • Phenolic pultruded grating meets ASTM F3059 standard for FRP gratings offshore
  • Lloyds, Bureau Veritas (BV), Det Norsk Veritas (DNV) and American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) Approvals
  • Higher load capacity than equivalent steel grating
  • Proven wheel load and impact capability
  • Ideal for field fabrication – no edge banding required or hot work
