Composite Pressure Vessel Design

We design and manufacture bespoke offshore composite pressure vessels in accordance with internationally recognised pressure vessel standards, in a range of sizes and pressure ratings.

Our composite pressure vessels are manufactured using high quality resin transfer moulded, and filament wound epoxy components.

Brief technical specification –

  • ASME X – Class I vessels up to 2MPa (20 bar) up to 120°C – Mandatory 6x safety factor on designs pressure for maximum confidence in product integrity and production quality assurance verified through prototype testing.
  • Other vessel codes considered BS EN 13923; DNV-OS C501

Key features/benefits:

  • Corrosion resistant
  • Lightweight
  • Designed for use offshore
  • Cost effective compared to metallic pressure vessels
  • Configured to suit customer requirements

Client feedback following project completion:

“The scope of supply on the BP Clair Ridge project included the design and manufacture of 290 GRE Sea Water Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) pressure vessels, which were an essential part of the BP LoSal™ package.
During the contact FGS engineers and project managers worked closely with BP personnel to design, test, qualify, manufacture and successfully deliver the 290 SWRO vessels in a tight timeframe.” – Mechanical Engineer, BP
