Our phenolic grating meets all the requirements of the new ASTM F3059 standard for Fibre-Reinforced Polymer (FRP) Gratings Used in Marine Construction and Shipbuilding.
We are excited that our Phenolic grating and stair treads have passed all the tests of ASTM F3059 and has received US Coast Guard approval.
Our Phenolic grating is the first FRP grating to pass all the requirements of the new ASTM F3059 standard for Level 2 areas.
This new standard is an enhancement to the existing worldwide standards for fibreglass gratings (USCG PFM 2-98, DNV 471.53, etc.).
Significant changes include:
- Substantial changes to Fire Integrity criteria
- Testing for durability issues not previously addressed
